Young Justice and DC animation news.
Young Justice will be premiering on Cartoon Network this fall and along with other animation news coming out of SDCC we learned that Peter David will be writing some of the upcoming episodes of the cartoon.
The show will follow six main characters but will have a much larger cast of characters. It will also feature a sixteen member Justice League who will mentor the young heroes. So we’ll be seeing the likes of Superman, Batman, Green Arrow and Wonder Woman. Along with many other members of the DC pantheon.
DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns also noted that a new Green Lantern animated show would be coming out fall of next year. Not much news on the latest direct to DVD movie from WB Superman/Batman Apocalypse. The movie is due in stores on September 28 and is based on the Jeph Loeb/Michael Turner story arc “The Supergirl from Krypton”. It will also have the latest DC Showcase which will feature Green Arrow. Below is the trailer for the the movie that was released with Batman: Under the Red Hood.
